falling behind…
I’ve been meaning to post these. Really, I have. It’s tough when people who are your intended recipients may read the blog. You don’t want to spoil the fun early.
So, now that I know all the packages have at least reached their destination via the USPS Track & Confirm, I can share!!! I apologize for the lousy photos.
I made this card for all the pink mailboxes that I sent out. The pink mailbox had me hunting for the perfect paper. I managed to find these two patterned papers at AC Moore. For the stamping portion, I used Papertrey Ink Fancy Flourishes and Handwritten Notes. The paper is Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate and so is the twill ribbon. The pink felt heart was cut with a Cuttlebug die that I used in my NEW Cuttlebug (I broke my old one…more on that later.)
I used all sorts of leftover Thickers from the stash for each monogram. The ribbon is Martha Stewart Crafts. I used a Creative Memories heart punch to use on the flag. I didn’t cover the border with ribbon because I thought the pink mailbox was so cute just popping out. I filled them with all little treats.
For the packaging, I used Papertrey Ink Small Glassine bags. They turned out really nice. I even stamped some of them. I used ribbon and buttons from the stash, which was very satisfying. Ok, now back to the Cuttlebug. I was taking it out of it’s cabinet the other day, when klutzy me lost my grip. I managed to drop it right on the handle, which proceeded to break clean off. There was just no way to salvage it.
But I ponied up the dough for a new one and was back in business. Having the 50% coupon at Michael’s didn’t hurt either. ![]()

What a fabulous card and those mailboxes are ca-ute.
Sorry to hear about the cuttlebug, I would have thought for how heavy that thing is, that it would be pretty durable.
