aqua mist revisted.

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Yesterday, I was giving some advice to a fellow stamper who wanted to know what you would buy if you were new to Papertrey Ink. I have been purchasing from Papertrey Ink since the beginning. Not the very beginning but pretty close to it. Aqua Mist and Spring Moss (the originals) are still my favorites, even with all my ink troubles. Beautiful Blooms is one of those sets I go back to over and over.

aqua best.

I’m still having a little trouble with the Aqua Mist ink. The color is much stronger now but I am still getting tints of green. I was going to make this card purple but really wanted to take the Aqua Mist out for a spin. You might see this in purple very soon. :)

The Background Basics Retro set is just to fun. I haven’t loved a background set so much since Polka Dot Basics. I also used the yummy Vintage White and Cream Buttons. They are awesome! I know they will become a staple.  I hope everyone had a great Easter. I am trying to shake of the winter blues. I think that this has been the longest winter EVER for me. My Vegas isn’t helping the motivation either. He loves to help but tends to eat my ribbon. hehe.

Only 4 more days until the Falmouth Road Race!!! I am still accepting donations for my charity, Police Athletic League of Cape Cod. If you feel the charitable urge, you can donate here. Please let me know if you send a donation! It’s a great charity that helps out local kids. I’m sure they would appreciate your help! I know I will.

the race!

After my run last night, I didn’t really have any mojo left so I just played with my cats, who rule. No seriously, they do. We played a little fetch and feather chaser. Aren’t they just super cute?

these guys rock!

I will be posting the towel beach bag tutorial tomorrow! Finally. So, stay tuned.

200 Posts!

Holy Moley! I can’t believe that I have blabbered on for 200 posts. Liz over at Getting Crafty tagged me. Thanks Liz!

Ten years ago: Coming home from my freshman year in college at CU-Boulder.

Five things on my to-do list today:

1. Work.

2. Run 3 miles.

3. Work on my mom’s album from my wedding since I now have the photos she wants.

4. Go to watch hubby’s softball game for a bit.

5. Take pictures of my Stamp Something Challenge for tomorrow’s post and make Kim a good luck card!

Snacks I enjoy (summer-time ones): fruit, crackers with cheese and Friendly’s watermelon sherbet roll

Things I would do if I was a millionaire: I have no idea and it’s too depressing to think of what life would be like if I was, so I am refusing to think about it. :)

Places I have lived: Too many places to count.

I will leave you with a funny picture of my cat, Disney today.

find my cat!

My Disney was trying to beat the heat last weekend. He finds the strangest places to curl up. :)

I tried.

Really I did. I’m just not cut out for paper basket weaving. My AR-ness really came out with this project because I just couldn’t get the weave even, especially when Vegas was trying to eat the paper strips as I wove it. So, it ended up in the trash. Oh, the pain!

Failed attempt!

It started to be cute but really it’s way too much work. See Vegas trying to eat the strip hanging out of the trash? Too funny. I gave up when I realized I can go and pick up a basket at the Christmas Tree Shop for a buck and save myself several hours and the aggravation.

So he did succeed in salvaging his paper basket toy. I managed to get a few things off the to-do list despite my paper basket debacle. I ordered our Magic Kingdom Bridal Portrait CD. Basically, this is all the high res images of the photo shoot. You can pay $1,000 for it right away or you can wait until your 3rd anniversary and pay $100. I waited. But now I just want it so I can complete that wedding scrapbook of mine! :)
