Goodness. I’ve been trying to pry the mojo out of hiding. I’ve forced it a little because I refuse to buy greeting cards. I can’t wait until a get a nice crafting space back!!! I sat down to make a card for my MIL’s birthday the other day and tried to keep it simple.

cupcake!

I have had this Papertrey Ink Polka Dot Basic paper for while now. I finally put it to use. I love the color scheme is so soft and fun. I’ve been so jealous of all these cute flower frogs that I’ve been seeing and finally broke down and bought a set.

I have a few more finished projects to show this week. I finished off some towel beach bags. I just need to make cards to match. Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Two posts, two days in a row. :)

Today’s post is not too exciting. I spent some time playing with my Cricut the other day. I put the Cricut cartridge Tags, Bags and Boxes to work. It’s definitely my favorite cartridge. I cut the flower box and then cut the flower tag in blackout mode to make the flower pop. I found these cute little totes and had to buy them!

bag!

I filled them with a bunch of little goodies. It was fun cutting away on the Cricut. I used the Design Studio to make sure the things were the size I wanted. The software made it very easy to determine the size of the object I needed to  cut.

gifties.

I have to get these all in the mail!!! I plan on breaking out the yudu this week. I have a belated birthday present that I must finish. I’ve been so far behind.

long time, no blogging.

I’ve missed blogging. In addition to planning the new house, I’m not adjusting to the temporary apartment well. It’s just not conducive in space or lighting to make crafting easy for me. But I managed to suck it up last night and do some projects that have been neglected while I spent my extra time taking in episodes of Holmes on Homes and Sarah’s House and researching appliances. I didn’t feel truly inspired but I managed to make a scrap half sheet of 12×12 American Crafts patterned paper work to my advantage.

hello friend

I had this flowered American Craft scrap paper sitting in the stash just begging to be used.  So, I decided on a simple layout and went to work. I would have never thought this in a million years but Papertrey Ink’s Friends Til the End stamp set is one of my most loved and used sets of all time.

I made these card with all different bows. I managed to use up the rest of my Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush Satin Ribbon. The colors match the gift tote that I will be sending out to a few of my girlies. I’ve meant to sent them out for the 4th of July but ended changing it up because well, we are almost one month past. :) I hope everyone has been well. I can’t wait to make the rounds and see what everyone has been up to!

Let me introduce you to my friend Greg. When not defending our liberties, he takes his own with fashion.

meet greg.

Greg is now overseas serving our country. His fabulous wife Steph has been keeping us informed with his needs and wants for care packages. So, I finally got all the items I wanted to send over. I was quite amazed at what I could fit in the Large Flat Rate box to send over to him. Water toys, danish, gummy penguins, over three pounds of Oreos, beef sticks and a few other items all fit in the box. I didn’t get to fit all the water toys in this one so the rest of them will go in the second one that I plan to send over for the Fourth of July. I also made him this card because he’s fond of loud prints. So between him and Nichole over at Papertrey Ink, I had plenty of inspiration for this card.

He truly is one of a kind. I hope the package makes it way to him fast and safe.

I used the Papertrey Ink stamp sets On My Couch and Background Basics Retro. The new couch dies are so awesome! I loved using them with the stamps. I hope he enjoys the card and the package. :)

I’m here!!!

Ok, I CANNOT believe that it’s been so long since I have posted. My bad. However, one of the first reasons is this:

We sold our house!!!

sign.

The past month has been crazy!!! We accepted an offer on the house on April 16th…the Purchase and Sales was executed on April 26th. The closing was May 17th. We plan on building a new house. We have started the process and I will be posting on how it’s going. Right now, we are in a temporary rental. It’s a townhouse that my friend was trying to rent until the market comes back a bit more. It helps us and her out! However, we are still settling in.

Second:

We went on our 5th anniversary trip May 8 - May 13, which was a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale that went to Key West, Cozumel and the Bahamas. I will definitely have more pictures from the trip. The picture below was from my favorite part…we did an excursion in Cozumel. Wild Tours, an excursion company, took us for a crazy adventure through the Cozumel jungle for an incredible experience.  We drove an XRail Dune Buggy to the Jade Caverns and underground caves. I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Cozumel. We had a BLAST!!! More on this later though…here is the tease picture:

XRail Fun!

If you look back at the timeline, I had about one day to pack up our entire house. I had packed a little beforehand but there was still lots to do. We got back on May 13th, packed on May 14th, the movers came on May 15th and then passing papers on the 17th! PHEW! Before the cruise and the move, I was crafting a ton! I have so many back projects to post. The first was a card that I did for Mother’s Day.

white flower card.

This card just kind of came together. I wanted to use that big flower from Papertrey Ink’s Friends ‘Til the End set more. I think over the next few days you’ll get sick of seeing it so much!

You can’t really tell in the above photo, but the black strip across the top is embossed polka dots. It does look really pretty in person. I have to bust out my camera and start taking normal pictures instead of taking pictures with my phone.
